Dr Elizabeth (Liz) Forrest

• Staff Specialist Anaesthetist in Cardiothoracics at the Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital with a keen interest in intraoperative transoesophageal echocardiography.
• Completed her anaesthetic training and a general anaesthetic fellowship at the Gold Coast University Hospital, she completed a Cardiac Anaesthesia and Critical Care fellowship at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, Canada.
• Co-lead of the intraoperative echocardiography safety/quality program at the PA Hospital and participates regularly in the education of trainees in intraoperative echocardiography.
• Recent recipient of a research grant from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists to conduct a project studying cell salvage blood quality (in conjunction with Griffith University).
• Dr Forrest is currently a lecturer at Griffith University.
