Dr Leah Wright

Dr Leah Wright (BAppSc, DMU Cardiac, PhD)
- Senior Echocardiographer and Post-Doctoral Fellow at Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute. Her PhD from the University of Tasmania focused on the use of echocardiography in the clinical follow-up of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.
- Dr Wright has conducted clinical trials across Australia, incorporating advanced echocardiography into large community-based cohorts. She is affiliated with the Cardiometabolic Health and Exercise Physiology Laboratory and the Imaging Research Laboratory at the Baker Institute.
- Dr Wright's research contributions include work on strain surveillance during chemotherapy to improve cardiovascular outcomes, use of cardiac imaging during exercise intervention trials, advanced imaging to detect subclinical cardiac disease and the clinical translation of new technologies, such as robotic and AI imaging.
