• Visiting Specialist Cardiac Anaesthetist and a member of the leadership group at the Victorian Heart Hospital, Melbourne.
• Special interest in mitral valve surgery and structural echocardiography. 
• Following training, completed two years of speciality training at St Michael’s Hospital (Toronto, Canada) and Royal Perth Hospital (Western Australia).
• Speciality training was in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia including Heart and Lung Transplantation and TOE.
• He holds an appointment as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Melbourne and has been a past examiner for the Fellowship Examination for The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA). He is the immediate past Chair of the ANZCA Cardiac Thoracic Vascular Perfusion (CTVP) Special Interest Group.
