Dr Krystle Lander

Dr Krystle Lander is Structural Echocardiologist and Heart failure Specalist, with a particular interest in teaching.

She completed her medical degree through the Wollongong University in 2014, followed by cardiology training throughout Queensland. This time, particularly regional and remote exposure triggered a particular interest in indigenous health care, which she continues clinically with a fortnightly Indigenous cardiac clinic.

Dt Lander undertook fellowships in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplant (2022), followed by a two year fellowship in structural echocardiology under the tutelage of Prof. Scalia.

Dr Lander’s passion is teaching. She has developed teaching resources since her own early training, and has assisted in delivering all aspects of hospital based teaching since intern days. Most recently she has started a higher degree in clinical education through The University of Melbourne. This aligns closely with her position as the clinical lead of advanced training at The Prince Charles Hospital.
